What the fuck? The Tom Goes To The Mayor guys didn't want to draw anymore so CN gave'em a different show where they don't have to?

I don't care if its funny (I've only seen on ep so I don't even know if that's true) but COME ON.

IT IS NOT A CARTOON. IT DOES NOT BELONG ON CARTOON NETWORK. The end. It looks like some low budget late night cable access show. I thought they were gonna lighten up on this shit after that Saved By The Bell business. Pee Wee Herman I could SORT of understand, but what I saw of this "Awesome Show" there wasn't anything animated in it that I could see.

Tom Goes to the Mayor was way better anyhow.

Tom Goes to the Mayor is shit, but I like the Awesome Show. I don't mind it being on there.

They started showing live action movies during the daytime of CN awhile ago. Like that fucking Cats and Dogs movie.

CN lost that promise after they started their Friday Nigt shows with 2 legally retarded hosts and a bunch of kids introducing the cartoons, trying entirely too hard.
but Awesome Show is a guilty pleasure of mine, i don't know why i enjoy it so much.
Tom Goes to the Mayor was better, though...
cartoon network in dubai is yet to be tainted by all this twaddle X3

Its the "Slippery Slope" I'm seeing at work here. It STARTED with fucking Fridays... real hosts? Fuck that shit.. I knew it would only get worse from then on.. They opened the wrong door on this one.. Allow one thing, then another, then tons.. and then you n longer actually have a CARTOON network. Its like fucking MTV. Music television eventually phased out all of its music.. Then moved it to MTV2.. THEN started phasing the music out of IT! Instead, turning it into a graveyard for their old shows. WTF! When does it END? Does this happen to all stations? how are the sports networks holding up.. do they still show sports!?

I wish I could back you up on this one. But I think Tim and Eric are hilarious, and I liked both Tom Goes To The Mayor and their new show. I agree with you, though, that it's just another Jenga piece being removed from the Cartoon Network tower... but that tower's been full of holes for a long time now. With a bunch of live-action stuff to rival Total Request Live-style trash that MTV has been using to achieve an awkwardly young audience, as well as cartoons that are just garbage. But that's how it goes. TV networks have to change formats all the time just to keep up. Nickelodeon has kind of been turning into the Disney Channel.. and so there's that gap of where Nickelodeon used to be where I think CN is trying to fill into.

I guess my point is, a 15-minute show that airs in the middle of the night is probably the least of CN's problems. And it kind of makes sense... because Adult Swim didn't really get big because it was animation as much as just because it was strange and dork-oriented and campy at times.. so they're going to continue to cater to that audience as opposed to the hardcore animation fan. And TV networks aren't bibles, they're gonna hafta change and ditch old ideas all the time to make money. It sucks, but I can't sit here and say that if they're gonna show The Goonies, that i'm not gonna watch it, be entertained, and help make them rich.
I love it
